On October 19, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov had a meeting with the delegation led by Chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Sentop that included representatives of four parties represented in the Turkish Parliament.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov has provided the information that the mighty Azerbaijani Army under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief has liberated 2 cities, 1 settlement and 71 villages from the occupation. It was noted that the entire leadership of Turkey led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey and the people of Turkey stood with Azerbaijan in this very complicated period for our country. Prime Minister has expressed his gratitude on his own behalf and on behalf of the Government for this support.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov has underlined that the trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan has risen by 33% last year while its growth of 8% is observed in eight months of this year despite the pandemic.
Prime Minister has noted the successful continuation of joint energy projects implemented by Turkey and Azerbaijan and conveyed his congratulations on the discovery of gas deposits at the Black sea.
It was stated that the volume of mutual investments is on the rise.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov has underlined the particular importance of Gars – Igdir – Aralik – Dilucu – Sadarak – Nakhchivan – Julfa railway connection and the Turkey – Nakhchivan gas pipeline.
Prime Minister went on by noting effective activities of healthcare representatives of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the period of the pandemic.
Prime Minister has also noted that the world audience is attentively watching interviews of the President of Azerbaijan to the Turkish TV channels and the fair news broadcast in Turkish television on Azerbaijan’s military operations aimed at the restoration of justice.
Noting as a good tradition the first visits of Azerbaijani and Turkish leaders indeed to their respective countries, Chairman of the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Sentop has informed that he has also realized his first visit to Azerbaijan after his election to the chairmanship of the Majlis.
Describing such visits as a support to the just fight of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Turkish Parliament has declared that they support Azerbaijan in all terms possible.
Mustaf Sentop has deplored attacks of Armenia against civilian population of Azerbaijan and said that he is planning to visit the city of Ganja affected by that attack.
It was also stated that the sub-committee of the Human Rights Committee of the Great National Assembly of Turkey is studying the cases of human rights violations in war zones, including Nagorno Karabakh and preparing to publish a report on crimes against humanity perpetrated by Armenia against civilian population of Azerbaijan.
