    Azerbaijan-Georgia border to close for 10 days

    On March 13, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia had a telephone conversation in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.

    By mutual agreement of the heads of government a decision was made to close the state border between Azerbaijan and Georgia for all means of transport for a period of 10 days beginning at 00.00, March 14, 2020, in order to ensure safety and protect health of citizens of both countries. A corridor will be ensured during this period to allow citizens of Azerbaijan and Georgia to return to their countries. Cargo transportation will also be allowed through a dedicated transit corridor.
