Starting from August 18, public catering services providers are authorized to provide services to customers in outdoor areas.

Based on the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, public catering services providers are authorized to provide services to customers in outdoor areas starting from August 18.
Such services can be provided from 09:00 to 22:00 to the customers of public catering services, including restaurants, cafes, tea houses and other similar facilities in outdoor format in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Yevlakh, Masally, Jalilabad, Mingechevir and in the territory of districts of Absheron, Barda, Salyan, Khachmaz, Goranboy and Goygol (the authorization is not applied to the use of hookah equipment and assembly of more than 6 persons behind one table).
Based on the provisions of the said decision, public catering service providers envisage facilities (such as restaurants, cafes, canteens, snack bars, buffet tables, in-situ services, tea houses and other similar places) used to run service activities in organizing production, processing, selling and consumption of food products.
The outdoor area of a public catering service facility means a place confined at least from three sides ensuring a full air flow (confined by a fence not exceeding one meter and not having other construction obstruction) or having a full open overhead (sitting under open skies).
Public catering services providers shall ensure the use of disinfectants in entry-exit points and near cash desk, including also relevant devices (dispensers) for the use of such disinfecting liquids while those devices must be in good working status.
According to this decision, the activities of public catering services providers are organized in accordance with relevant rules, sanitary norms and methodical requirements.
