Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of Türkiye, who is on a visit to the country.
During the meeting, the parties hailed the successful development of fraternal and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all fields. They highlighted that the consistent and targeted policies pursued by the presidents of both countries are a key factor in further strengthening these relations.
The sides welcomed the outcomes of the 12th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in Baku last December, and discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the economy, investment, energy, transport, and other sectors. They also reviewed the progress of joint projects in a number of areas.
The meeting also touched upon cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States, highlighting the importance of solidarity and mutual support among its member countries. In this regard, the significance of the meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Organization’s member states, held in Baku, was particularly underlined.
